Marieke has written and been consulted for articles in a wide range of publications, has been interviewed for the Ireland AM, BBC Radio Scotland and various podcasts, and continues to speak on gender bias and medicine at science and literature events.

Marieke’s second novel will be published by Dead Ink Books in 2024.

Marieke’s second nonfiction title will be published by Profile Books in 2025.

Besides writing, Marieke has received Wellcome Trust funding to conduct several art-science collaborations geared towards knowledge exchange.
